San Francisco-based enterprise agentic AI infrastructure operator AIsa has officially announced the completion of its seed extension funding round, welcoming prominent strategic investors Tether Capital and HIVEN to its growing roster of backers. This latest influx of capital pushes the total funding raised by the start-up to more than $9 million, marking a significant milestone for the company as it seeks to address the complex operational challenges faced by businesses deploying artificial intelligence agents at scale.
The newly announced strategic investors join an already impressive group of venture capitalists and global corporations that have previously backed AIsa. These earlier participants include tech giant Alibaba, Tribe Capital, Sumitomo Corporation, Draper Associates, and Saison Capital, alongside several other institutional backers. The breadth and international reach of this investor syndicate underscore the growing global market interest in building robust underlying infrastructure for autonomous AI systems.
The fresh capital injection comes at a time when businesses are increasingly moving beyond experimental implementations of artificial intelligence and attempting to deploy autonomous agents directly into production environments. However, enterprise adoption has frequently been hindered by a fragmented ecosystem of service providers, complex software integrations, and disjointed billing systems. According to statements released by the company, AIsa seeks to solve these exact challenges, making it easier for enterprise AI agents to operate effectively, communicate seamlessly across different platforms, and manage resources at scale.
At its core, AIsa’s proprietary infrastructure is designed to bridge the gap between enterprise agents and the external digital world. The system connects corporate AI agents to a wide variety of essential resources, including external data sources, advanced AI search engines, diverse foundational models, application programming interfaces, software tools, and specialized industry services. Crucially, the platform combines this broad, flexible access with comprehensive governance tools, providing businesses with robust usage metering, accurate billing, and secure financial settlement capabilities.
Elaborating on the strategic vision driving the company, Jordan Liu, founder and chief executive officer of the San Francisco-based start-up, highlighted the fundamental requirements of modern autonomous software in a statement released on Friday. Enterprise artificial intelligence agents require trusted information, genuinely useful tools, and a fully governed way to execute transactions, Liu explained. The overarching vision of the enterprise is to build the foundational infrastructure that allows autonomous agents to discover, access, and pay for digital resources globally, while simultaneously ensuring that enterprises retain absolute control over internal permissions, operational spending, and financial transactions.
The involvement of Tether Capital as a strategic investor brings a distinct financial and technological dimension to AIsa’s current growth phase. Tether Capital operates as the independent investment arm of Tether, the prominent issuer of the widely used USDT stablecoin. According to corporate disclosures, the investment group is tasked with deploying capital derived directly from Tether’s accumulated profits and excess reserves into forward-looking technological initiatives.
This investment strategy has seen substantial capital commitments over recent months. In June 2024, Tether Chief Executive Officer Paolo Ardoino publicly announced that the venture group expected to deploy at least $1 billion into various strategic deals across the technology sector, with a heavy emphasis on artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and emerging digital infrastructure.
Expanding further on its growing portfolio in the artificial intelligence and robotics sectors, Tether noted Thursday that the decision to invest in AIsa fits seamlessly into an established corporate pattern. The move directly follows Tether’s previous investment in NEURA Robotics. That earlier partnership notably included concrete plans to integrate Tether’s proprietary Wallet Development Kit into advanced machinery, enabling physical robots to run artificial intelligence locally and execute financial transactions securely within predefined, tightly controlled operational limits.
By combining the financial engineering expertise and stablecoin infrastructure of backers like Tether with AIsa’s enterprise-grade agentic management platform, the collaboration aims to pave the way for more programmable, autonomous economic activity among software agents. As enterprises continue to seek secure, scalable, and compliant methods for integrating artificial intelligence into their daily workflows, the market for specialized agentic infrastructure is expected to draw continued attention from both venture capital firms and strategic industry giants worldwide.
