SpaceXSI Unveils ‘The X Subscription,’ Bundling X Premium, Grok, and Cursor Into a Unified AI and Social Plan

In an aggressive move to capture a larger share of the booming subscription market, the company formerly recognized as X—now operating under the corporate banner of SpaceX Super Intelligence—has announced a comprehensive bundling strategy. The company is combining its major digital offerings, including X Premium, the Grok artificial intelligence suite, and Cursor, into a single, streamlined offering simply titled “The X Subscription.”

This strategic overhaul is designed to tackle the intense competition within the paid artificial intelligence and digital services landscape. By consolidating multiple services into one cohesive package, SpaceX Super Intelligence aims to present a more compelling value proposition that could potentially attract a broader subscriber base than any single product could achieve on its own. In a market crowded with formidable rivals such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and various other AI pioneers, the company is betting that a unified ecosystem will give it a distinct competitive edge.

The newly introduced X Subscription grants users access to a robust array of features spanning social media enhancements and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Subscribers will gain access to Grok for sophisticated AI-powered chat functions, complete with comprehensive support for voice interactions, image generation, video processing, and API integration. Furthermore, the package includes Grok’s agentic AI bot, designed to execute complex, autonomous digital tasks. Beyond Grok, the bundle incorporates Cursor, a specialized tool tailored for AI-assisted coding, alongside the traditional paid features long associated with an X Premium subscription. These legacy benefits include the coveted blue verified checkmark, an extensive suite of creator tools, and a significantly reduced advertising experience across the platform.

To accommodate varying user needs and budgets, SpaceX Super Intelligence has structured the new subscription across five distinct tiers, ranging from a basic free option to high-end professional packages. The available tiers include a free option, a Plus plan priced at $8 per month, a Premium tier at $30 per month, a Super plan scaling up to $100 per month, and an Ultra tier sitting at the top of the lineup for $200 per month. As users ascend through these pricing tiers, the usage caps for artificial intelligence capabilities increase correspondingly. The free plan is intentionally limited, offering only restricted chat and agent usage, while subscribers must commit to the Premium tier or higher to unlock access to the company’s latest and most advanced Grok models.

Current subscribers of X Premium and related services have been offered a reassuring incentive regarding the transition. According to company disclosures, the comparable plan within the new X Subscription structure is designed to cost the same as, or even less than, existing standalone rates, providing a smoother financial transition for loyal users who already pay for advanced access.

For those currently utilizing existing services, the path to adoption is designed to be flexible. Current users can choose to navigate to their subscription settings directly on the X platform to manually upgrade to the new comprehensive bundle, or they retain the freedom to maintain their current standalone plans if they prefer not to change. Company representatives noted that the technical option to upgrade will be rolled out gradually across the user base. Consequently, interested customers will need to monitor their account billing settings closely for the upgrade offer to appear as the rollout progresses globally.
